NSDA

A Glance at the History

During their meeting at Dadar, Mumbai in 1940, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar encouraged Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to reach out to Axis powers and escape himself out of India to raise an army of liberation. Savarkar advocated for the militarization of Indian youth and urged Indians to enlist in the British Armed Forces, a stance that aligned with Bose’s INA strategy.
Under Bose’s leadership, the INA fought alongside Japanese forces against the British in the northeast of India and Burma. Although the INA was ultimately unsuccessful and disbanded following Japan’s defeat, Bose’s efforts significantly impacted the Indian independence movement, inspiring many with his bravery and dedication.

The NSDA

Netaji Subhashchandra Defence Academy (NSDA) aims to uphold this nationalistic fervor and the “nation first” approach among the national youth.
NSDA further aims to prepare candidates aspiring to join Indian armed forces as officers by providing them authentic guidance and information. It desires to tap the potential candidates from all sections of the society. We are of the firm belief that many potential candidates are being left out due to lack of information and authentic guidance.

The NSDA will be running courses for preparation of written examinations for NDA, CDS, AFCAT, INET etc. It will also conduct courses for SSB interview guidance for all officer entries which include NDA, CDS, AFCAT, INET, TGC, TES, Navy Tech, JAG, RVC, NCC SPL, SSC Tech-non tech Men/Women, TA etc. The NSDA has adequate ground in the heart of the city for GTO testing. Apart from Col Hemant Joshi, who has a vast experience as GTO, NSDA has expert Psychologists and Interviewing Officers on its panel for correct guidance to the candidates.
The NSDA has got a team of top notch teachers and trainers to prepare the candidates for UPSC written examinations for NDA and CDS. Adequate learning infrastructure exists to keep the candidates at ease.

NSDA

Why NSDA ?

In the present times, National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA) and various other Officers Training Academies feed the officers for Indian Armed Forces. It is observed that the proportion of Maharashtrian representation in these academies needs improvement. The important reason for this is lack of awareness by the candidates and a void of proper guidance to face the written examinations and SSB.

With these factors in the mind and taking inspiration from Swatantrya Veer VD Savarkar’s thoughts, Netaji Subhashchandra Defence Academy (NSDA) has been established at Savarkar Pratishthan, Sangli. read more…
