Veteran Group Captain Shrikant Walwadkar has served at various locations in India. During this period, he was privileged to participate in three operations namely Op Meghdoot (Siachin), Op Pawan (IPKF Sri Lanka), Op Safed Sagar (Kargil), command AF Station Thanjavur and TC (U) Bangaluru, and be part of two delegations as member and deputy leader to visit Tajikistan and Sri Lanka.
His purpose for second innings is to ensure not a single boy or girl expecially from small towns and villages should say that he or she did not try to join Indian Armed Forces for lack of information.
He feels fortunate to be associated with Netaji Subhash Defence academy, of Savarkar Pratishthan, Sangli which provides the information, motivation, guidance, and training to the aspirants with an objective of समाजसेवेतून देशसेवा. जय हिंद,जय हिंद की सेना.
